I know we don't all get on here too much but I figured I'll let you guys know what my extra time and dollars are going towards.
Well for financial/medical reasons I traded my project integra off for this 93 Si. My integra essentially needed to be rebuilt. I figured the civic would be easier to sell. Well thankfully, the financial/medical situation has passed and everything is kosher again! *PHEW* This car has been whored around from a few different people but I think I'm going to hang onto it for awhile. I got it with the interior in pretty rough shape and some front end damage. It needed and still needs a TON of parts. I've managed to source most of what i need locally or from ebay. I need to make a run to honda to pick up the last few bits and pieces that the interior is missing. The interior is where i've done most of the work thus far. However, I don't have any pics. But suffice it to say, it's come a long way! Anyways onto pictures This is basically how I got the Car. The only exterior mod I had done was removed the rear wiper since it wasn't even hooked up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well today I got sick of the dented pieces and cracked bumper and half-assed mounted lip. So I decided to take care of those things. I ripped the whole front end off. ![]() ![]() ![]() I then proceeded to put on newish fenders and a newish bumper. Put in the new to me OEM headlights and got rid of that ebay crap. Remounted the wings west lip properly. The side skirts are in need of some new 3m tape to get them seated in the rear, but that'll be for another day. The hood needs some tlc and either needs to be adjusted or replaced. But it's good enough for now. Anyways, here's how she sits now. White, Tan, Black and Teal. Looks kinda cool. lol. More to come. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I still have more parts to throw on it. I have new OEM mirrors that need to go on and still need a few more interior pieces to finish off the interior. For now it's just going to be looks/getting the interior more liveable. Performance......well, it's a civic. So we'll see. I'm loving the 36mpg though! I'm way ahead on this car, I purchased my integra project for $500 and traded that project straight across for this car. The car has a d16y8 in it with the stock d16z6 head. Only crappy part is the car has a CX transmission. That means it's slow but gets amazing gas mileage with the long gears. I think I have a total of $500 into this car since the trade. I'm pretty sure that's a slightly high estimate too. Thanks for looking |

lol, how did a CX transmission end up in a Si? I like that lip though, once it's all painted it should look good. Is the exhaust actually something decent or an ebay fartcan on stock piping?

I wondered the same thing about the transmission. I'll eventually find an Ex/Si trans to throw into it. I plan to start the bodywork in August, paint will follow. It's a skunk2 can with 2.25" - 2.5" piping from the header back. Sounds good low, but is buzzy as hell if i go anything over half throttle. The header is a DC 4-1 and there's no cat. I'm sure that has something to do with the buzziness.
I managed to pick up some Fat Fives for $75, they need some work but should look decent on this thing. After i get tires and throw those on, I'll lower the coilovers a tad. |
